Be An Upper Marlboro Nokotas Sponsor
The 2009 football season is underway! The players and coaches are extremely enthusiastic about this upcoming season. Community support plays a big part in helping the Nokotas compete with other semi-pro teams. All monies raised from sponsors and fundraisers goes back to the team for items such as equipment, field rental, travel, football camp, officials, meals etc. Having your name seen before area residents is a great way to generate sales and show your community support. The Upper Marlboro Nokotas is, in every sense of the word, a "community" organization run by and for the players, coaches, and their families, and all fans of football in Prince George County. The team "runs itself" to the extent that the players even have to buy their own equipment and pay a player's fee to cover expenses. Thus, we are looking for "anyone and everyone" who wishes to get involved in helping out with various efforts, making things easier on the players and coaches, and getting the word out about the Nokotas.
Anyone interested in being a part of the Game-Day Operations Crew should call Johnny or Audrey Jones. This is "volunteer work," involving selling and taking tickets at the games, selling programs and T-shirts, controlling crowd flow, and so on (you will receive a free T-shirt, but this again, essentially is a volunteer operation). Great opportunity for youth needing community service hours for graduation.
Most importantly, anyone interested in being a SPONSOR - giving the team donations, equipment, advertising with Nokotas, or helping with transportation and so forth - should contact our Sponsorship Dept., Johnny or Audrey, either by e-mail at nokotasfootball@msn.com or by calling (301) 780-9045. We will fill you in on how to become a sponsor and what benefits our sponsorship packages provide for those who participate. (If you know potential sponsors, please tell them about us, and let them know our website gets over 2,000 visitors per month!)
So "get on board" with the Nokotas operation. Our system - our organization - is the talk of the COMMUNITY. In our first year we desire to be debt free and we want to be recognized for how professional our operation runs.
